Ja maar sommige beelden zijn ook elders gemaakt zoals de Doort en de Molenplas. De wezel zat in het waterwingebied vlakbij de boer waar ik de huiszwaluwen fotografeer. Maar het gaat om de waarnemingen en maakt het niet veel uit waar dat heeft plaatsgevonden. Wel erg leuk om ineens zo'n wezel te zien.

You do have a way of capturing nature in all its glory, Roos. I think that you have a pocketful of those little green frogs and bring them out from time to time to pose for a picture! BeantwoordenVerwijderenHello David, you are as I said before still welcome to my tour for finding Treefrogs. It is ten minutes from my home and accomodations like B&B or hotel are all around. I welcome you for meals etc but not enough room for sleeping. The Treefrogs like warm weather and the younger frogs are now to be found August and September is the best time for them. Also in Spring you find the adults searching for partners. So everything is possible. And as Richard is also eager to see the Tree Frogs something must be possible.

I particularly love your images of the Swallowtail caterpillar, and you Honey Buzzard images are amazing. However, the real stars for me are, of course, the frogs!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBy the way, I understand that the mites that adhere to Nicrophorus vespillo are not parasitic, but just hitch a ride to where the beetle buries its carrion, as the mites also feed on that carrion.

Hello Richard, thank you again for liking my photos. And yes is it not amazing that the mites that are taking a hike on the back of this carrion beetle get of untill they reach a new carcas. Nature is great.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenWow, jij hebt de prachtige rups van de koninginnenpage gevonden. Gewoon in Nederland? Ik neem aan van wel, want dan kan tegenwoordig gewoon. Ik zag ze vorig jaar in de buurt van Nijmegen, dit jaar ben ik ni zoekende...
Verder laat je weer een goed gevulde blog zien. Mijn voorkeuren gaan uit naar de vlinders.

Hallo Dick, ja de rups gewoon in Nederland bij een vriendin in de tuin. Twee stuks op venkel. Koninginnenpages vliegen hier in het zuiden regelmatig en heb ze al menigmaal op de foto kunnen zetten. Nu dan ook de rupsen die ik nog niet eerder gezien had. Ze wees me op de rupsen tijdens een rondje tuin die ik altijd krijg bij haar.
